Booking & Availability

How do I book?

Check live availability on our booking page. If a slot is open, you can book immediately with a deposit — no emails or phone calls needed.

What deposit is required?

A deposit secures your date and time. Deposit amount depends on your package tier. It's non-refundable but holds your booking.

Where do you shoot?

We serve Washington, DC and Tallahassee. Sessions can be in-studio, outdoor, or at your preferred location within these service areas.

Booking for a high school student?

A parent or legal guardian handles booking and communication for high school students. Communication is by email only, no texting or DMs.

Payment

When is payment due?

Deposit is due at booking to secure your date. Full payment is due before your session (or immediately after, if you prefer).

What payment methods do you accept?

Cash, credit card, Zelle, digital payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay), Afterpay, and Klarna.

Rescheduling & Cancellations

Can I reschedule?

Yes, up to 48 hours before your session. A $50 rescheduling fee applies. Rescheduling within 48 hours is not available.

What if I need to cancel?

Your deposit will be forfeited and applied as a cancellation fee. If ChakFiles cancels due to illness, emergency, or technical issues, all fees are refunded.

What about late arrivals?

Please arrive on time. Sessions start as scheduled. Arrivals 15+ minutes late incur a $25 fee and may reduce session duration.

Your Photos & Turnaround

When will I get my proofs?

Proof gallery (unedited proofs for you to select from) arrives within 3–5 business days after your session.

How long until final edited images?

Standard turnaround is 10–14 business days after you submit your final selections. Rush options available below.

What's your editing style?

Clean, vibrant, and minimal — no over-processing. All images receive color correction and light retouching (flyaway hair, minor blemish cleanup).

Can I get premium retouching?

Yes. Premium Retouching ($10/image) includes advanced skin work, contour adjustments, garment smoothing, and editorial-level polish. Add at booking.

Can I rush delivery?

Yes. Rush Turnaround add-ons available at booking:

• Proofs within 12–24 hours: $50
• Edited images within 24–48 hours of selection: $100

Are revisions included?

Two rounds of revisions are included with each session. Additional revision requests are $50 per image.

Portfolio & Image Use

Will my photos be shared on your website or social media?

Yes, by default. A select number of images from your session may be used for portfolio, website, and social media. This helps us showcase our work and grow our business.

Can I keep my photos private?

Absolutely. If you prefer your images remain private and not used for promotion, select the Privacy add-on at booking ($75 fee).
